Join us for ReCreation on February 12

ReCreation is a series of eight events for you, our whole congregation, during the 2016-2017 school year.  This year’s theme for ReCreation is “We are Agents of God’s Kingdom.”

The February 12 ReCreation event will focus on how we live out the Kingdom in our Christian community.  How does being an Agent of God’s Kingdom make a difference in our personal relationships?  At this month’s ReCreation event, we will dive into the Book of Acts to learn about the very earliest Christian communities, and how people interacted in response to the good news of the gospel.  We’ll explore how God calls us to be his Agents in the world so our personal relationships and communities can grow stronger and healthier.

Remember that lunch is a key part of ReCreation!  Even if you worship regularly, sharing a meal together gives everyone a chance to find out what’s happening in each other’s lives, and how God has been at work shaping our days.  Those who worship at 8:30 a.m. are welcome to return at 12:15 p.m. for ReCreation, or come to 11:00 a.m. worship on ReCreation days and stay for lunch and fellowship with the wider church family.  ReCreation meals are delicious.  A dedicated team of meal hosts makes it easy to attend and enjoy a meal prepared for you.

Have you ever wondered how the ReCreation learning activities get planned?  Each event has its own Design Team, a group of people who meet twice to study that month’s event theme, brainstorm Bible stories and group activities, and plan the event together.  Reformation is blessed with many creative people who love Jesus and love helping others grow in faith—those are the qualifications for serving on a Design Team!  If you’d like to serve on a Design Team, please speak with one of the ReCreation Core Team members below and they will direct you to a Design Team.

ReCreation offers the opportunity to grow in faith and explore God’s Kingdom calling for you.  Everyone also enjoys eating together, and getting to know people of all ages.  Please be thinking of who you can invite for warm fellowship and fun learning at ReCreation.

ReCreation is for you if you are a newcomer, lifelong Reformation member, child, youth, young adult, adult, mature adult, single, married, widowed, divorced, living with others, living alone, working, retired…it is for everyone and it is for YOU!  The ReCreation Team members (Karen Oldland—Leader, Mary Currie, Linda Helm, Marv Navarro, Kristin Schlegel, Barbara Seth, Pastor Paige, and Pastor Eric) would be delighted to talk with you if you have any questions.
