Today we heard the most important story of all, how Jesus died and rose again to forgive our sins and to show us that God forgives us and gives us eternal life. The Bible Point was “God will always love you!” We practiced saying that to each other to help us remember that good news! We had 64 children and 45 volunteers, staff, and helpers at VBS today. We also received $24.45 in offering for worms for farmers in the Philippines. That puts our total collected for Lutheran World Relief to $210.86. I think it’s safe to say that is our biggest offering at VBS ever!
A reminder that you are invited to worship at Reformation this Sunday at 10 a.m.! The VBS children will be singing two songs in our service. We are excited to have them share the good news of God’s love for everyone to hear!
Tomorrow is “dress like a wacky scientist day.” The kids can wear “lab coats,” or dress wacky tacky in crazy colors and patterns. Also, the children have been hearing about Mrs. Nauman’s “recycling challenge” all week at the Imagination Station. They are invited to bring in something tomorrow that can be repurposed or reused, and have their names entered in a “raffle” for a prize to be selected at the end of the morning. This is an optional activity. Everyone who wishes is welcome to participate. Ask your children for examples of Mrs. Nauman’s favorite kinds of recycling, and they can fill you in on this Imagination Station challenge!
