Online Ministry Coordinator Job Position

Come Join Our Team!

Reformation Lutheran Church is growing on-site and online! We have created a new part-time position to help meet the needs of our social and streaming media followers. We are looking for someone who can edit videos for worship, educational, and outreach purposes and use social media to promote our ministry and create more opportunities for online participants to actively engage in Reformation’s work.

You will be on-site Sunday mornings from approximately 8:00am to 10:30am during the school year, and 9:30am to noon during the summer to support the live stream operator and then edit and post the service to our social media outlets. Other responsibilities can be completed on-site or off-site, in consultation with the supervisor, over approximately 5 hours per week. Additional time (up to 10 hours total per year) may be required for extra services on church holidays (i.e. Christmas Eve, Holy Week).

Responsibilities include:

  • Edit and upload weekly worship service to Facebook and YouTube, with a linked post on the church’s web site.

  • Promote worship online (through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other methods), including posting the bulletin and devotional guide every week.

  • Assist in creation and posting of smaller videos (sermon outtakes, promotional videos, educational videos).

  • Create resources for live stream operators (such as cue sheets for camera positions, and PowerPoint / Keynote slides with hymn lyrics).

  • Coordinate with the Director of Music to manage copyright permissions for music.

  • Help create meaningful opportunities for online participants to engage in Reformation’s ministry.

  • Use social media, including the use of video, to promote Reformation events and ministries.

You will need to be proficient in the use of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Experience with the macOS operating system and Final Cut Pro video production software, or capacity to be trained, is essential. You must also have the communication skills to work as part of a team along with demonstrating maturity and discretion.
