Hello VBS Families,

Today we learned the heart of the Christian story: that Jesus died and rose again for us, and that he loves us always.  Please ask your children to show you how they can make a heart with their hands!

The children are doing a great job singing the VBS songs and learning how Jesus is our light.  It has been so delightful to spend time with all of the children this week.  Today we had 91 children and 28 staff.  We collected $47 in offering, bringing us to $237.57 total for our offering to Lutheran World Relief for play equipment for refugee children in Kenya.  That is amazing.  Thank you!

Tomorrow’s dress up theme is “ROCK STAR DAY,” a play on words since we have been learning about rocks and caves this week, and also rocking out in our music station!  I look forward to seeing what your rock stars look like tomorrow.

We hope you will join us for worship this Sunday at 10 AM so your children can sing their VBS songs in praise of Jesus, who is our light!  If you have any questions about worship, feel free to contact me.  Visitors are always welcome!  We will have refreshments afterward.
