The Book of Revelation pulls back the curtain on the heavenly realm. It gives us a vision of the heaven that God promises for us and for all who trust in our crucified and risen Lord. In today’s sermon on Revelation 21:10, 22-22:5, Pastor Paige explores how this heavenly vision relates to a joyful occasion in the life of our congregation: receiving 26 new members! This passage gives us a good idea of how to live and serve others in our present time, as followers of the risen Jesus. It also gives us hope for the future, when the holy city will descend from heaven and we will worship God up close. Taking time to imagine this glorious vision renews our faith, fills us with hope, and helps us celebrate the growth of our congregation with great joy.
