Listening to God’s word, hearing the message of God’s grace, acting on it, and speaking about it: all of these are essential for how we live out our faith. In this sermon, Pastor Paige unpacks the instructions we hear in the book of James (James 1:17-27), to “be doers of the word and not merely hearers.” She also points to Jesus’ conflict with the religious leaders over human traditions to illustrate how grounding our lives in God’s word makes a real difference for how we serve those around us (Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23).
