Sometimes a hero doesn’t look like a hero. In today’s sermon on Mark 8:27-34, Pastor Paige dives into the conversation between Jesus and his disciples, and Jesus’ question, “Who do you say that I am?” When he answers, Peter correctly calls Jesus, “the Messiah," but he doesn’t understand what that means. When Jesus explains what is to come with his life, death, and resurrection, Peter’s eyes are opened to a whole new way of understanding his Messiah and his Lord. It’s important for us to truly understand who Jesus is, as well. How we answer his question, “Who do you say that I am?” makes a big difference for our faith, for how we live, and for how we follow Jesus as his disciples.
We invite you to use the “Supporting Reformation’s Mission” button to invest in our ministry. At that link, you will find ways to make online donations to provide the resources needed for our church to keep on reaching out with the love of Jesus, as well as a survey you can print out and return to church about ways you can become more involved in what God is doing at Reformation. Thank you for your generous support!
After the service, we invite you to fill out an online response card here. This helps us stay in contact with our online worshiping community!
