The festival of Pentecost, with the coming of the Holy Spirit, is associated with the signs of wind and fire and the miraculous power to speak the Gospel in a way that everyone could understand. But in John 20:19-23, we hear of a quieter breathing out of the Spirit on the afternoon of Easter. Jesus comes to those who are locked behind walls of fear, and with the power of grace, sends us out into freedom.
